About the NYHA

Mission Statement:
The mission of the National Youth Hunting Association is to promote and preserve our centuries old traditions of hunting, shooting sports and conservation through youth recruitment, retention and involvement in outdoor education, training, and events Nationwide.

Our Organization:
The National Youth Hunting Association (NYHA) is a 501(c) 3 Public Charity non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of our hunting, shooting sports and conservation specifically through youth.

At NYHA, we recognize that the future of all hunting, shooting, wildlife and habitat conservation resides in our youth, thus it is critical to our mission to not only introduce new youth to our outdoor sports, but to keep them involved through our own events and those of our partner organizations nationwide. Together we can instill the passion within them and create a better tomorrow for the great outdoors!

Our Scope:
Based centrally in the United States in Missouri, the National Youth Hunting Association is opening chapters all across the US. This provides local impact on youth within these states, bringing more youth to our partner organizations (NRA, SCI, NWTF, DU, PF, WTU, 4-h, etc). National reach, local impact!

Our Impact:
The NYHA's programs and events have the ability to positively impact more than 100,000 youth per year, nationwide! Through our own events and through our National Youth Conservation Coalition program, we connect our youth members with all hunting, shooting and conservation organizations and events nationwide! We are the only organization in the United States that provides this service for nation's youth and partner organizations!

Our Programs:

US Chapter Level/Local Programs: National Level Programs:

National Youth Private Land Access Program- More than 150,000 acres of private land for NYHA youth member hunting access and growing! Connecting inner-city and other youth who have no place to hunt, with land owners that will let them hunt.

Youth Hunt Giveaway Program- Giving away fully outfitted youth hunts, donated to the NYHA by outfitters and hunting celebrities in support of our Youth Hunting Outfitter/Celebrity Challenge. In Q2 2012 we are taking the program national by launching www.DonateAHunt.com to support these donations and showcase our youth, donors and sponsors. Targeting to give away to NYHA youth members 1 fully outfitted youth hunt a week, 52 weeks a year to connect our youth with world class opportunities they may otherwise never afford. Level the playing field for youth and make it happen!

National Youth Conservation Coalition- The Connecting Link for Youth in the Outdoors!
Beginning as a program to connect our youth members to all hunting, shooting and conservation chapter events at a local level, this program has grown into one of the most exciting programs to support the future of our sports nationwide! Launched on our corporate NYHA website in Q1 2011, this program allows the posting of all youth hunting, shooting or conservation events to our "events page" by coalition partners. This promotes your organization's cause, mission and provides visibility to all youth supportive events in one location!

Utilizing state-of-the-art technology to reach today's youth, our National Youth Event Alert system utilizes email alerts, mobile phone alerts and an interface to Facebook and social media sites to reach more than 1 Million people in less than an hour! Anytime your group posts an upcoming event in any state, alerts are automatically sent out to anyone signed up for event notifications in that state. Events are also posted to a map of the US so the public can click on any state and see every event from all organizations in one place!
