History of the NYHA
The National Youth Hunting Association was founded to answer the call for coordinating youth outdoor education and opportunities on a national scale. While the NYHA is founded and incorporated in the state of Missouri, our goal moving forward will be to open local chapters in other states across the United States, thus allowing local focus on youth within that state or region. The association was also formed to provide our youth of today an organization they can belong to that focuses strictly on coordinating/presenting youth opportunities not only with our organization, but with every business, state wildlife and conservation department and other organization that offers opportunities as well.
Leveraging the fact that most children today grow up knowing how to use a computer, search the internet and utilize this technology even for doing their homework, we decided to develop an educational website whereby we could collect & present youth outdoor educational activities and events all over the US in an easy to find one-stop-shop website. There are thousands of opportunities out there across the US. The trick for our youth and their mentors is to find them and connect to them, without having to spend hours searching the internet for opportunities close to them. We have received a huge amount of interest and support from the public at large and have become very popular at sport shows, trade shows and other outdoor events. As we continue to grow, so will our programs, opportunities and positive impact on youth nationwide. We look forward to serving our youth in the best possible ways, creating lifelong friendships and memories in the process. Welcome to the NYHA!
